Land Based Education Projects

At Nisto Awasisak Memorial School, we believe our students learn best by getting out there and getting your hands dirty. Learning by doing.

This is Cumberland House Cree Nation, and we know that the Saskatchewan River Delta is more than just our home—it is also our teacher and provider. Through our land-based programs, we get our youth out of the classroom and onto the land and water to learn nehinaw ways that have kept our people tied to this land since time immemorial.
